Title: The Cure for Despondence
Storyline: Damien lives in an emotional paralysis, unable to cry no matter what method he tries. Sad films, onions, staring contests, even painful moments fail to release a single tear. His only comfort comes from the rosary beads left behind by his late mother, allowing him rare moments of calm and escape.
Despite his inability to feel deeply, Damien is exceptional at reading the emotional cues of others and mirroring them with precision. He blends in without ever truly belonging, drifting through life with no direction or purpose. His heart beats, but he does not truly live.
When Damien suddenly loses his treasured keepsake, panic pierces through his emotional numbness. The unravelling that follows pushes him to the edge, and in that turmoil he stumbles upon the very thing he has been searching for: the cure for his despondence.
This project offers actors the chance to participate in a thoughtful and atmospheric story that explores grief, identity and human connection
