Fame Street is an online entertainment magazine for actors, singers, dancers and performers. Fame Street also provides an auditions and casting calls 'noticeboard' as part of our service. Fame Street also regularly posts out opportunities from film makers and TV channels. Fame Street operates Worldwide and has been established since 2012 as a leading acting and entertainment portal.
Registration to Fame Street is free, but we do charge a subscription fee for access to our premium content which includes daily news & reviews, articles and training videos. Full membership also gives access to any casting calls posted on to the website.
About us
'Fame Street' is a registered trademark. Any infringement of our trademark will result in prosecution. All material on Fame Street is the sole property of Fame Street Ltd. Fame Street complys with all laws that are relevant to the business model which includes the Distance Selling Regulations (DSR) and the General Data Protection Act (GDPR).
Upfront fees
Fame Street is not an agency. An agency is a company that will find specific and bespoke work for work seekers and then take a percentage of their income over a fixed period of time for the services provided. In regards to the casting call area of our magazine, Fame Street simply publish publicly available opportunities, but these are general and non specific and we do not match any member to any job or have any personal relationship with any member.
Fame Street provides information that is already present within the public domain and members of Fame Street can then act on the information if they choose, much like the jobs section in a daily newspaper.
Compliance
Fame Street met in person with a top representative from the Employment Agency Inspectorate Department. Famestreet.com was thoroughly reviewed and after some minor adjustments and alterations in the terms and conditions, Fame Street was considered to be legally fully compliant with all the relevant UK laws to date that encapsulate our business model. All laws and regulations were still unchanged at the time of our last internal audit of July 2024.
The meeting was very productive and Fame Street fully supported and implemented the views and recommendations suggested by the E.A.C representative that we met with.

"Promotional fees for performers and entertainment workers (not models). 'You can only charge upfront fees for listing the worker or performer's details in promotional publications or on websites to help them find work. Promotional publication includes listing information in publications or on websites and photographs or audio or video recordings. You must give the worker or performer a chance to see any copies. Other fees or commission for finding work normally come out of the worker or performer's earnings from the employment that you found'"
Fame Street do not charge any fees at any point for any other services apart from an optional fee to upgrade to full membership to access premium content which mainly consists of current news articles, training videos, TV & movie reviews and other relevant content for actors & performers to help them find work including casting call information, as deemed legal under UK law (see above). Fame Street will assist a full member to find work only by providing access to auditions and casting calls for film, TV, singing, dancing and some other genres excluding modelling opportunities. Premium membership also includes on online profile with additional features for the member to showcase themselves.
Fees for promoting performers
By upgrading to Full membership, you have the right to a full refund within 30 days. This is to comply with the Distance Selling Regulations (DSR).
Models & modelling opportunities
Fame Street do not charge any upfront fees for finding work for photographic and fashion models. This includes putting information about the models in a publication or website. However, we can still charge a fee for including information about them in a publication or website after we have found the model work or providing a service to find the model work (these fees must be agreed upon before we start looking for work for the model.
Due to current UK legislation, Fame Street do not publish any details or opportunities of work aimed at models or the modelling industry anywhere on the website and Fame Street will never participate in any external events or promotions concerning models or aspiring models. Under UK law, It is currently illegal to charge any 'up front' fees for models or aspiring models seeking modelling work and therefore, to comply with UK legislation,
Fame Street do not publish any auditions, casting calls or opportunities for models or the modelling industry. All magazine content including article and training videos aimed at models will always be free to access. If you are an aspiring model, you are welcome to a free online profile but can only apply for opportunities related to acting, singing, dancing and some other similar genres but not modelling.
Privacy policy
This privacy policy applies to all personal information received and used by Fame Street Ltd.
This privacy policy complies with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that came into effect in May 2018 and affects all EU / UK citizens. Fame Street act as the processor of your information and takes full responsibility for it's use. Any important amendments to this privacy policy will be announced via email.
Fame Street will collect some personal information from you which is restricted to the following - your name, email, gender, age, location, professional experience and some personal details such as your hobbies or interests. Fame Street will also store any photos you submit to us. This information is used to create your online profile which is made public and you agree that Fame Street has full permission to do so.
You agree that Fame Street will place your online profile into a searchable directory so that other members including the general public may find you, although your email & contact details will always remain private / hidden. We do not use your personal information for any reason other than to send targeted newsletters to you as requested.
Fame Street will never sell or release your email address excluding the caveat below.
Fame Street will only disclose your details to any 3rd party that shows an interest in employing you within the acting industry. If you wish for your online profile to be made private then please contact us to let us know and this will be actioned within 24 hours.
Your online profile may be searchable via search engines and other social media but your email & contact details will remain private.
You have the right to correct / update / view / remove or totally erase your information at any time.
Upon request of profile deletion, Fame Street will no longer hold any information whatsoever on you once the deletion has been actioned, usually within 24 hours. This will also remove you from search engines in accordance with their own policies.
Cookies: A cookie is a small snipped of code retained within your browser to aid in the navigation of the website. Without cookies enabled the registration process may fail when proceeding page to page. You can disable cookies at any time.
We respect your privacy and do not collect or store any personally identifiable information through Google AdWords or any other third party re marketing system.
Digital Membership delivery
Upon successful payment, Full Membership is activated immediately and the customer is granted instant access to all digital casting calls, features, and member tools on FameStreet.
Digital services are considered fully delivered once the member's account is upgraded to Full Membership and login access is available.
It is the customer's responsibility to log in using the email and password provided at the time of registration. FameStreet cannot fulfill delivery to a customer who does not log in.
Because Full Membership is a digital service with instant activation, refunds cannot be issued once access has been granted and the member dashboard is available to the customer.
Submitting a dispute or chargeback does not replace contacting FameStreet for assistance. Chargebacks for services already delivered and accessed may result in account suspension.
Refund & Cancellation policy
Full Membership is a digital subscription service that is activated instantly after payment. Because access to all casting calls and member tools is provided immediately, refunds cannot be issued once Full Membership has been activated.
Members may cancel their subscription at any time to stop future billing. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle and do not provide refunds for the current period, as access has already been granted.
Once Full Membership is active and the member can log in, the digital service is considered fully delivered.
Customers with access issues must contact FameStreet support. Submitting a chargeback does not replace contacting support.

Fame Street receives regular submissions from casting directors, film makers, TV studios and many other individuals and companies looking to post their castings onto our website.
Fame Street® vets all articles, postings, auditions and jobs that are uploaded onto our platform. Fame Street® has a points based system to determine if we publish a listing based on it's authenticity, quality, legitimacy and a whole host of other measures to keep you safe and to uphold the integrity of the platform. Our team is dedicated to keeping you safe and we reject way more submissions than we post. Fame Street® receives castings, auditions and jobs from various sources including the following:

Films and TV shows are constantly being produced worldwide from short student productions to full length feature films and Fame Street is a popular choice for casting directors to post their opportunities onto. Fame Street has built a great reputation over the past 10 years and has become the 'go to' platform for many industry professionals seeking fresh talent for their projects. The bulk of our castings come direct from the film industry.

We also have a small team of people stationed across the globe who are 'in the know' and spend their time tracking down amazing opportunities and auditions to post onto Fame Street®. Our team constantly track down very hard to find opportunities through a combination of detective work, real world contacts, sheer persistence, determination and by scanning through a very large pile of newspapers and magazines each week.
Stumble upon
We have a small army of online volunteers including Facebook and Twitter fans that inform us as soon as they spot an opportunity that may be suitable for us. These can range from a local singing competition to a student film right up to a major movie that needs some film extras and actors. All it needs to do is pass our quality threshold and vetting procedure and then its posted on the website for you to apply to.

Terms and conditions
These Terms & conditions constitute the agreement between Fame Street Ltd and you (which we will refer to as the 'Agreement'). The term 'we' or 'Fame Street' shall refer to the online magazine publication www.famestreet.com and Fame Street Ltd. The terms 'you', 'basic member', 'full member' and 'advertiser"' shall mean any individual, corporation or organization using the services provided by Fame Street.
1 Fame Street online magazine is a subscription service and therefore complies with 'The Distance Selling Act'. Full details can be found at The Distance Selling Act

Disclamier: Fame Street is not affiliated with any film company and does not have any working relationship with any of the companies that post opportunities onto the platform. In the case of large scale film productions that may be seeking film extras, Fame Street will forward your online profile to the relevant contacts for that production which is usually the casting director.
3 You accept that many other members, sometimes hundreds may be applying for the same role and this means that you may not hear back from the majority of applications that are made. Fame Street does not ever guarantee any work for subscribers
4 You are permitted to upload and manage your own profile. Profiles shall be of a personal nature and not contain material that could be used for trade or political purposes.
5 Basic membership is free and includes access to a ton of current magazine content. Basic members are under no obligation to upgrade to Full membership.
6 If you are aged under 18 then you will need expressed permission of a parent or guardian to join Fame Street as either a basic or full member.
7 Some newsletter emails sent will be generic and targeted to a wider audience and may not be a perfect match to you in regards to your personal characteristics, country or ethnicity etc
8 You understand that Fame Street offer two membership levels - basic membership, which is a free service and full membership which is a paid for subscription based service that includes basic membership benefits plus access to the premium content of the online magazine which includes news & reviews, training videos, articles and also casting information.
9 Fame Street do not actively seek to find any work for any member at any time. The casting call area of Fame Street is simply a small section of our overall online magazine publication that posts submitted casting calls from 3rd parties of which we do not usually have any working relation with other than the publishing of their opportunities.
10 Fame Street has no working relationship or connection with any 3rd party advertisers listed on the website. Fame Street has no professional relationship with any member and will not enter into one beyond offering general help and advice.
11 Activation to full membership is immediate upon payment received 95% of the time. Sometimes however, a delay may occur due to technical issues. No pro rata refunds can be given in these instances unless the amount of downtime can be deemed unreasonable.
12 Fame Street reserves the right to remove someone's profile and account without explanation.
Subscriptions
13 You fully understand and agree that by upgrading to full membership you are authorizing all future subscription payments that are linked to your subscription payment package and that you may not receive notice that a subscription payment is due to be taken. Once a subscription package has been taken out then you agree that Fame Street can continue to take those subscription payments until you cancel and that no prior notice is needed from Fame Street or our payment providers (WorldPay, PayPal and Stripe) in advance of future payments. You accept that the minimum term packages (1 month, 3 months and annual) are taken for the full term in advance.
14 When subscribing outside of the UK the prices may fluctuate slightly depending on the current exchange rates
15 When cancelling a subscription package, the full member must provide the correct email address. Failure to provide the exact email address that was used to make payment will result in the payments not being cancelled and full members agree not to seek refunds if they have provided an incorrect email address. Fame Street agree to work with the member to acquire their correct email address so that we an accuratley locate their payment account.
16 You understand that deleting your profile will not automatically stop your subscription payments. This is due to some members wanting to retain full membership benefits without having a public profile. You will have to cancel subscription payments by requesting a cancellation by following the instructions on the website or by contacting us via our support area. Once we have received a cancellation request then no more payments will be taken after that date. Any payments that are taken after a cancellation request has been received will be refunded back.
17 All members have the right to cancel their subscription packages at any time but no pro-rata refunds will be issued. Full membership benefits will continue until the paid subscription period has expired.
18 Fame Street do not charge upfront fees. Full membership fees are payable monthly in arrears. Should, for whatever reason, we receive funds for membership fees not yet due, any such funds will be held in a client deposit account until either the member requests the return of any such funds so deposited, or you fail to pay a membership fee on the due date. If you fail to pay a membership fee on the due date, such fees due will be deducted from any funds you may have in the client account.
Refund policy
19 No refunds will be given if a full member is unsatisfied with the premium content within our online magazine. We work hard to provide great material for premium members to consume.
20 No refund will be issued if a full member had 'forgot' that they subscribed to a payment plan.
21 No refund will be issued if a full member has used someone elses PayPal account or debit / credit card without that persons' permission (unauthorized transaction) This would need to be taken up with the authorities as a fraud case against the person that used your debit card / Paypal account. If your PayPal / debit / credit card has been used without permission by someone your know or someone under 18 then you agree that Fame Street are not responsible.
22 No refund will be issued if a full member was unaware that they were on a subscription plan. Fame Street make it very clear on the upgrade page, the payment page and in the terms & conditions that Fame Street is a subscription service.
23 No refund will be issued if a full member believes that they had previously cancelled. Once a full membership subscription has been cancelled then it is not possible for another payment to be taken. Full members can cancel their payments at any time by request.
24 No refund will be issued if a full member has not heard back from an opportunity that they have applied for. It is not the responsibility of Fame Street to ensure that a 3rd party advertiser responds back to them. This would be impractical and unreasonable.
25 No refund will be issued if a full member did not use the service for which they had paid. The service was still provided and it is the Full members choice whether to use it or not.
26 Sometimes a casting will remain on the website past its expiry date when we believe there's a strong chance that the producer will reactivate it. This is common practice and refunds cannot be given where a member cannot apply due to this. This only happens in less than 5% of all the castings posted on Fame Street.
27 Fame Street are not obliged to issue a refund if a parent has allowed their child to use their debit / credit card or PayPal account. If a child (18 or under) has used their parents debit / credit card or PayPal account without their parents permission then this is an issue between the parent and child. Fame Street will not issue a refund in these instances.
Miscellaneous
28 Because Fame Street is not an agency, we will never negotiate or enter into any contract on behalf of any member or 3rd party.

29 Fame Street has many hundreds of pages of content and as such, the words 'agent, agency and agencies' may appear in various articles and advice. If these terms are on the website, it will be in the general context of content and in no way implies that we are in any way connected to an agency and is never intended to mislead anyone that we may be an agency.
30 We will never receive or request funds from anyone on behalf of any member or anyone else. Should any funds be sent to us on behalf of any member for any reason, whether by accident or design, they will be returned to the sender without delay. We will never request or accept, other than subscription payments any fees or commissions of whatever nature from any member.
32 You will inform us if any advertiser requests an upfront fee, of whatever nature. You understand that paying any advertiser any 'upfront' fee, for whatever reason, is at your own peril and is not recommended by Fame Street.
33 Fame Street may contain advertising material or promotions of third parties and links to the websites of third parties. Such third parties are solely responsible for the content of such advertising and for the information, products and services on their websites. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no responsibility for the advertising, information, products or services of third parties, including, without limitation, any errors, omissions or inaccuracy.
34 Fame Street is not affiliated with any movie studio or TV production house but may forward the online profiles of full members to the casting directors to increase the opportunity of being offered a walk on part or speaking role.
35 You understand that sometimes a casting call provider may end the casting without first warning us and that may result in a casting call remaining on the website after its expiry date. You understand that Fame Street is not responsible for any full members applying to a casting that has expired although Fame Street do make every effort to keep all castings up to date.
36 Fame Street is governed by UK law and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
37 The very nature of an online business will mean that technical hitches and problems will occur from time to time which may include the inability to log in to your account or partial loss of data to a complete 'down time' which is beyond our control or intention. All members agree that sometimes a technical error may occur and accept that as long as this is rectified within a reasonable amount of time depending on the circumstances of the downtime that no refund either partial or full can be offered. A reasonable amount of time would be 2-3 days for password malfunction or 4-5 days for a profile recovery.
38 Artificial Intelligence (AI). With the rapid use of AI on websites, chatbots and other areas of online business now mainstream, we utilze this technology in the following way. If we receive a casting call with a very short description written in a lack-luste manner, we may use AI to 'expand' the casting call to be more enticing, however any AI content overlay will still 100% reflect the original casting call submission, but written in a more informative and user friendly manner. We may also utilize AI to enhance our magazine artricles and film review ect.
39 When posting a casting call for a specific country, we may include countries close to that location if we belive that members from nearby countries will also be accepted for that role.
