Storyline: 'Mind of Egress' is a coming-of-age mixed media short film based in Wellington. The story follows Frank, a 19-year-old who feels completely lost and disconnected from the person he wants to become.
Unsure of how to deal with these emotions, he seeks comfort in a childhood cartoon named Lenny — a show he’s watched countless times to escape real life.
But something is different this time. As Frank spirals inward, his emotional turmoil begins to rise to the surface, and the boundaries between animation and reality blur.
Told through live-action and voiceover, the film intimately captures the battle between escapism and facing personal truth.

Lenny. Cartoon character. We’re looking to cast multiple actors for this voice role. Lenny is a childhood character that comforts Frank — youthful, familiar and emotionally resonant. Actors must be confident with voice expression

Frank. Frank’s character has a lot of close ups depicting intense emotion so strength in facial expressive acting is a big plus. We are hoping for someone versatile who can play 16 to 21, as we see Frank at both ends of this spectrum. Darker features are preferred
