This emotional and important short film, created by a young queer filmmaker from Ōtautahi, follows a young person named Eli who has just come out. In a bold attempt to embrace their identity.
Eli stumbles across a drag show and enters the world of drag for the very first time. The film explores how drag can empower queer youth and transform their journey of self-discovery.
Through Eli's eyes, we see the contrasting responses from parents — from conventional and hesitant to glittery and proud — as they grapple with acceptance, love, and fear.
The film sheds light on the deep importance of representation, support, and identity, especially for those coming out in environments that don’t always understand them.
This is a moving and impactful opportunity for actors to take part in a queer-positive film with meaningful representation and narrative relevance. A beautiful project for anyone passionate about storytelling with heart
