Casting Paid Roles For 3 Emotionally Driven Short Films

Location: Canada, all regions

Estimated payment: Paidicon

This casting call includes three grounded, introspective shorts focused on human emotion, mental health, and everyday disconnection.

Project 1: Picking Things Up
A bittersweet, emotional short about an ex-couple reuniting for a final time to collect belongings. The tension lies in what remains unspoken—residual feelings, regrets, and emotional distance that still lingers.

Project 2: Doom Scrolling
A nearly silent observational piece about Anne, a college student consumed by phone addiction. As she doom scrolls through her day, she drifts farther from her surroundings, becoming a ghost in her own life.

Project 3: Good
After enduring a mentally and physically draining day at work, Garth puts on a brave face around his roommates and coworkers. He says he's “good,” but his body language tells another story—one of emotional weariness, isolation, and hidden vulnerability.

These three shorts emphasize strong, naturalistic performances, and actors with a deep emotional range are highly encouraged to apply

Payment details: Paid roles; $200–$350/day depending on role
