Title: Pane
Storyline:A young optometrist loses sight of herself as she falls into quiet, familiar patterns of infidelity. Outwardly composed and professionally successful, Anika’s world is stable and calm. But behind that stillness is a deep yearning for mystery, attention, and the electric feeling of being seen.
Her relationship with her partner, Neel, appears idyllic, until fleeting glances, subtle smiles, and unspoken temptations begin to unravel the foundations of their intimacy.
As the lines between loyalty and longing blur, Anika is caught in an emotional game that threatens to destroy what she once believed was love.
Pane is a haunting, character-driven short film that explores the quiet but devastating consequences of emotional deception.
With minimal dialogue and powerful visual storytelling, this film dives deep into the tension between connection and distance, safety and seduction.
Aspiring actors should apply for the chance to bring complex, emotionally layered roles to life in a stylish and intimate short film directed by an AFTRS alumni team.
The film offers strong portfolio material and the opportunity to work in a collaborative, high-calibre production

The Receptionist knows what he wants, but never pushes. He moves with quiet confidence and deliberate intention.
