Overview
Seeking a wide diverse selection of actors to play characters in an upcoming cult based film.
The cult members should represent the full spectrum of rural English townsfolk-shopkeepers, retirees, and farmers. While most of their screen time will be spent behind their eerie oat masks, when revealed, their faces should feel grounded yet distinctive.
Unique features, interesting character faces, and natural quirks are encouraged. From kindly grannies to stoic farmers, their ordinariness juxtaposed with their unsettling devotion to oats is crucial. We won't see their faces until the final scene.
Excerpt from Scene 1: The door opens to reveal the Cult Leader and 2 other members. They stare intensely at the Hero. Titling their head unnervingly. The Leader pours milk over the Hero's head, baptising him. The Leader dances in a pagan / druid manner. The cult are chanting. Suddenly the Leader puts his hand up commandingly. Everyone around the fire stops suddenly. The Leader turns to look at the Hero. The Leader is sat at the table eating his Oat Cult. The Hero walks in the door. He stops eating his porridge and looks up with a sinister smile.
