Title: Narcissus
Storyline: 'Narcissus' is Portside Pictures' fourth short film and offers a contemporary retelling of the myth of Narcissus.
The story follows Nick, a self-absorbed personal trainer who callously ends things with his girlfriend Eleanor. Heartbroken, Eleanor’s mother Eabha curses him, and soon Nick begins to experience the haunting collapse of his own mental state.
This 10 to 15 minute film explores themes of vanity, heartbreak, and emotional reckoning in a modern setting. Filming will take place over four days in Dublin and surrounding areas, offering actors a chance to gain powerful showreel material with a dedicated production team.
