Join A Bold Techno Horror Short Film About Online Escapism And The Fracture Of Identity

Location: Australia, all regions

Estimated payment: $1200 to $1500icon

Title: Anatomies

Storyline: 'Anatomies' is a 10 minute techno inspired body horror short that examines fractured identity in the digital age.

A lonely university student and a recently unemployed warehouse worker both find solace in an online platform where avatars replace reality. As they immerse themselves deeper into this virtual space, the boundaries between flesh and digital representation begin to dissolve.

Kevin, one of the central figures, retreats into Anatomies.com after being fired from his job. Known in the virtual world only as K05, a blue-haired avatar, he loses his grip on selfhood, overwhelmed by body dysmorphia, insomnia, and isolation.

The film blurs lines between online personas and human fragility, exploring what happens when the digital mask becomes more real than the face behind it.

Actors should apply to this project because it offers the opportunity to work on a highly visual, experimental piece with strong festival potential.

The role requires powerful physical acting, subtle emotion, and commitment to an intense, immersive atmosphere. Fully catered with credit and copy of the film provided, it’s a chance to collaborate on a bold UTS capstone project pushing boundaries of genre filmmaking
