Title: Wight and Wong - Kung Fu Detectives
Storyline: Set in a groovy kung fu-fuelled version of the 1970s, 'Wight and Wong' are two mismatched detectives in Brisbane’s police force. Known as the Kung Fu Division, they face criminals with high kicks, bad puns, and outrageous comedic flair.
Their latest case brings them to the heart of a dangerous mystery when a strange new designer drug, created by bees addicted to poppies, begins spreading across the streets.
Following a sticky trail of chaos, they clash with eccentric thugs, outlandish villains, and disco-fuelled chaos until they confront the flamboyant kingpin behind it all, Big Boss B Stung.
This stylized homage to grindhouse cinema mixes kung fu fights, campy comedy, and buddy cop antics in a high-energy parody of retro 70s crime films.
Actors should apply for this project because it offers a rare chance to play bold, exaggerated characters in a unique action-comedy.
With dynamic fight sequences, quirky dialogue, and larger-than-life performances, this film promises to be a fun, festival-ready production where performers can showcase both comedic timing and physical energy
