Title: Bellyache
Storyline: Bellyache is a short comedy film exploring the chaotic, awkward, and often hilarious struggles of modern online dating. The story follows Cassie, a cynical yet witty young woman who constantly battles with the ups and downs of swiping culture.
Alongside her, we meet Jon, an earnest but socially awkward guy with a heart of gold, and Lara, Cassie’s effortlessly put-together roommate who seems to have the perfect life.
Through these characters, the film navigates the messy, heartfelt, and comedic world of relationships while highlighting the ways young people try, fail, and grow through dating apps and love’s unpredictability.

Jon. Don’t be afraid to bring him home to meet your mom! Jon is cute in a socially inept kinda way, but deep down he has a heart of gold. What he lacks in relationship experience, he makes up for in kindness and humour. Maybe this time he’ll be the one

Lara. Lara is Cassie’s roommate who’s got it all. She’s super hot and she knows it, has a perfect boyfriend, and is not afraid to be a little judgmental. She probably would’ve bullied you in high school, but she’s chilled out now (we think)
