What's it all about? We are making a pilot for a TV comedy-drama series, written and directed by Steve Price. This a mockumentary about one lone vigilante's efforts to capture the legendary Beast of Dartmoor, which he believes to be a giant axe wielding rabbit. We require a quartet of central characters (three of which have already been cast) who can play the absurdity of the situation dead straight. The actress we are after must be able to play a range of emotions including highly stressed, sexually frustrated, stoned, loved up and deeply worried. She must speak with a light Devonshire accent.

This is a self-funded project, shooting late spring and early summer this year and you will be required to commit to two one-week blocks of shooting.

Steve Price is an established director with a history in music videos and broadcast documentaries and has director credits with the BBC and Channel 4. He is also well known for directing coverage of live rock concerts and has worked with a variety of artists including Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Arctic Monkeys, Faithless and many other well known acts across the world.

We need a female 25-42 yrs, caucasian to play an NHS Nurse Elaine, who is married to Alan, a self styled Devon based vigilante on the trail of the legendary Beast of Dartmoor. Elaine is almost at breaking point with her husband's mad plans until one day the handsome American Curt arrives the village, and her life changes in dramatic style. Elaine is likeable from the very first scene and the audience are on her side throughout the film. She is petite, and speaks with an endearing light Devonshire accent. This part would suit an up and coming actress in the Southwest area. The role is unpaid but expenses will be covered.
