What's it all about? Clarence Leek is a shy, nerdy and lonely man. His only friend is his pet gold fish ‘Bob’. Then he discovers Rent-A-Mate, a company that hires friends for money. Suddenly Clarence has a new bunch of friends and even begins a romance. There is also a girl from the local Pet shop is in trouble with some Racketeers. Clarence helps her and at the end of the story emerges as a hero. The film is to be directed by award winning director Nigel Barton who attended the National, Film and Television School studying Fiction Direction.
