What's it all about?
Blood Sisters will be a series of 'high school' vampire
movies due for cinema release next year in the same vein
as 'Twighlight', Zoey Deutch (Beautiful Creatures,
Ringer) will star as Rose Hathaway, a half-human,
half-vampire student of St. Vladimir’s Academy, where
young vampires are taught how to properly use their
powers. Rose is tasked with protecting her vampire
princess best friend Lissa, played by up-and-comer Lucy
Fry, best known for her work on the Australian family
drama Lightning Point. Rose also finds herself in a
secret romance with instructor Dimitri (Danila Kozlovski).
Lest it sounds too much like a high school drama, the
evil badass immortal race, the Strigoi, are a constant
threat to the young vamps and half-vamps of St.
Vladimir’s.
The film was scripted by Mark’s brother Daniel Waters,
well-known for having penned Heathers and Batman
Returns, as well as having co-scripted Hudson Hawk and
the classic Andrew Dice Clay flop The Adventures of Ford
Fairlane. Filming on Blood Sisters Is set to begin this
summer.
Fame Street will be sending all applicants details to
the producers throughout the next few months with the
aim of becoming a film extra in this amazing movie.
