always dreamed of being an actor, film extra, singer or model etc. Due to the amount
of emails of this nature that we receive daily, we are simply unable to

How do I apply for the auditions and opportunities on Fame
Street?
You first need to
register & create a free online profile. There is no charge for this.

you can upgrade to gold membership. This can be done within
your profile area.
What types of auditions & opportunities can I apply for?
Fame Street strive to pass to you the very best opportunities
and auditions as and when they are announced. These can
range from auditions to join the hottest new boy band /
girl group to bands requiring a singer and solo
recording contracts. For acting and
extras, you could find yourself playing the lead role in
a feature film or in the background in a top TV soap,
drama, documentary, music video or movie as a 'walk-on artist'. Dancers may find themselves in a music video or
maybe in a musical or as part of a street dance crew. We
also have opportunities to become a TV presenter, game show
host, reality TV star, talk show and game show participant or
audience member and

Does it cost to join Fame Street?
There are 2 membership levels,
'basic' and 'gold'. Basic membership is
completely free and includes an online profile with up to 10
photos and 2 videos clips. Basic members can apply to auditions
and opportunities that display the 'free listing' icon. Gold membership allows you to apply
for all of the auditions and opportunities. Our prices are amongst the
lowest in the industry!

Why do you
charge for Gold membership?
Fame Street is not an agency. Fame Street
is a hard working business
with dedicated staff and a research team that need wages,
offices with rent
to pay and a ridiculously large coffee maker that needs constant
re-filling! If Fame Street was a free
service then we would not be able to pay our staff or maintain
office running costs and as such, there would be no Fame Street.
Our costs are very competitive and amongst the lowest in
the industry but offering the highest quality of service.

I'm having trouble uploading my photo / videos
The Most common
problem with uploading a photo is the file size. Try reducing
the size of the photo. Make sure your
photo is a jpeg or gif and not a bmp or png. If you still have trouble,
email your photos to us
here and we'll be happy to upload them for you.
I want to change my password
To change your password, please login to
your profile and click the 'change password' link which is
located on the left above your profile photo. Please note that you
cannot change your username / login name
Who will see my profile?
The Fame
Street team work
hard to send agents, film directors and producers, talent
scouts, TV production companies, record companies, modelling
houses and many other industry related producers to your online
profile for their productions and projects. Your profile will
also be available to the millions of visitors to Fame Street
each day
What happens when I apply for an
auditions or casting call?
In most cases you
will be applying direct to the producer or director of the
opportunity / casting call on offer. Full contact details and
how-to-apply instructions are in the Gold members area so for
example - You see a casting call for an actress for film xyz on
the website. You then login to your Fame Street account and enter
the Gold members area. Once there you will see instructions on
how to apply to be an actress in film xyz. Its very simple and
straightforward. Please note that only Gold members can apply to
the auditions and casting calls although there are still some
'free listings' for those with basic membership. Basic members can
also have an
online profile and other benefits. You can upgrade to Gold
membership anytime from your profile area by clicking the big
green 'Upgrade here' button.

Is there a minimum amount of time I have to join for
No, unless you
sign up for a minimum term package
Am I bound by any contracts?
No, none at all
How will
production companies contact me?
If you are
a successful applicant to an auditions or opportunity, then the production company will contact you direct by
email or we will contact you on their behalf
When does each opportunity expiry?
The expiry date given to us by production companies is displayed
next to each opportunity in grey
Will I get paid?
Payment depends entirely on the opportunity being offered and by
whom. Some work is paid by big companies and some only cover
expenses. Fame Street is not an agency and so we do not take any
percentage of any money you may earn.
Will I have to travel to auditions
Yes and always inform
someone of your whereabouts before attending an audition
I applied for an audition but heard nothing back
Sometimes,
certain auditions will end / expire and the production company does not
inform people that were unsuccessful. This is due to the
in-etiquette of the production company in question and beyond
our control. We urge all members to persevere and not be disappointed. If you are not chosen for an opportunity - there's
always another one just around the corner!
Do I need any experience
No experience is needed for
the vast majority of opportunities on offer.
Are their any restrictions?
Restrictions may apply to
certain opportunities but are always clearly
stated by us beforehand.
What age do I have to be to join?
Fame Street has no age
restrictions although under 16's should get permission first
from their parent / guardian.
Can you guarantee me work?
We cannot guarantee work as
this is a competitive industry. We encourage all members to login
regularly to apply for the latest opportunities.
Are you an agency?
No, we are
not an agency so any money you earn you keep. We are an online
publication dealing in stories, news and reviews as well as
auditions and as such are considered an online publication under
UK law. Fame Street Ltd comply with all UK laws and regulations.
