Feature films
Film directors are constantly in
need of walk on artists (extras)
due to the huge amount of films
being made on a weekly basis.
Without 'extras' the streets,
parks, offices and all other
public areas in movie scenes
would be deserted. We submit
members details to the big movie
production company's when films
are in the pre-production stage
for maximum success. |

Television
Today's daytime and evening
television listing are full of
soaps and serials all in need of
'extras' on a constant and
rotating basis. The added bonus
of landing a permanent spot as
an 'extra' on a television
programme is that it could
progress to a speaking role and
maybe even an acting career as a
character within the show! |

Music Videos
Got a few moves? Why not try to
become one of the many 'extras'
that the creation of new music
videos demand. Most top singers
today have a dance theme within
their videos which include
'extras' milling about in the
background of a club or concert
etc. Fame Street
regularly posts out
opportunities to be an 'extra'
in the latest music videos. |

Advice -
Learn How to Act
For some people, acting comes naturally but for most
some training could go a long way. You don't have to join
acting classes or groups, you could simply practise
amongst friends and family or even in a mirror. Maybe
you could apply for a role that suits your personality
making acting it out much easier, for example, you may
be a fit athletic person and spot a role in a film for a
gym instructor or maybe the lead actor needs to be good
at running. Acting is a craft that can take years to
perfect but it is a craft that can be learned by the
majority of people so if your not a natural actor or you
lack confidence then get some practise and start
applying for our acting auditions.
Be Willing to do What it Takes
A career in the entertainment industry whether it be
acting,
singing,
modelling or
dancing takes a lot of
dedication, passion and commitment but it can also
creates a lot of disappointment which you need to absorb
and brush off. Be prepared to make sacrifices within
your personal life to achieve your aims and attend as
many acting auditions as you can.
Be Persistent
Getting knocked back after an acting audition or not hearing
back from a casting are standard within the acting
industry. You will be rejected more times than accepted
as competition for some acting auditions can be fierce. The key is
to be persistent and apply for as many roles as possible
to increase your chance of being chosen. Don't take
rejection personally as the casting directors may be
seeking a particular look that you don't have regardless
of your acting ability. Be the dog that wont let go of
the bone!
